Are you and your friends enthusiastic doubles players and would you like to learn more about promising moves, correct positioning on the court and the right tactics when playing doubles from one of the world's best doubles players? Or do you and your interclub team want to get the perfect polish for the often decisive doubles matches in interclub? Then book my one-day doubles workshop, which will be led by US Open Doubles Champion Julian Knowle, a former ATP world number 6 in doubles.
At the start of the workshop, Julian will tell you what it takes to play successful doubles. Julian will then look at your level of play and show you level-appropriate exercises that you can use to improve your doubles game. After lunch together, where you can ask Julian your questions, you will play doubles matches with each other in the afternoon and will be coached by Julian according to the motto "learning by doing".
The doubles workshop is expressly suitable for doubles enthusiasts of all levels and ages, as Julian chooses the exercises individually so that they are ideally suited to the respective group and can actually be used.

Julian Knowle

Julian is 50 years old and comes from Hard in Vorarlberg. He achieved a best singles ranking of ATP 86, reached the 3rd round at Wimbledon and defeated players such as Ljubicic, Llodra and Nieminen. Above all, Julian was one of the world's best doubles players for over a decade and has been able to call himself a Grand Slam winner since his US Open victory in 2007 alongside Simon Aspelin. In the same year, the pair reached the final of the Tennis Masters Cup in Shanghai and finished 2007 in third place in the doubles race. Julian was also successful at Wimbledon (2004 final with Zimonjic) and Roland Garros (2010 semi-final with Ram) and was also a regular for Austria in 24 Davis Cup matches. Julian has lived in Vienna for several years and currently coaches the Austrian world-class doubles team Erler/Miedler.
